Terms of Use

Last updated: October 14, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using SafeAbroad. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What SafeAbroad is

SafeAbroad is a decision-support tool for Filipinos planning to work overseas. Based on the profile you give, it suggests job openings, shows how risky each destination country is, and gives information about recruitment agencies.

SafeAbroad is not a recruitment agency. It does not process job applications, arrange deployments, or charge any fees.

2. Who can use SafeAbroad

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You may have only one account.
  • The information you give, such as your name, date of birth, and work history, must be true and your own.

3. Your account

  • Keep your password private. Do not share your account.
  • You are responsible for what is done using your account.
  • If you forget your password, you can reset it by confirming your date of birth and contact number.

4. Recommendations are guidance only

Job matches, country risk levels, and agency information are computed from public data and the profile you provide. They help you decide, but they are not a guarantee of safety, employment, or an agency's conduct. A job order may already be filled, and conditions in a country can change quickly.

Always check job offers and agencies with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) before you sign a contract or pay anything.

5. Where the data comes from

SafeAbroad uses published information from the DMW and other public sources, including international indexes on safety, labor rights, and political stability. We update it when new data is released, but some figures may be out of date.

6. What you must not do

  • Give false information or use someone else's identity.
  • Create more than one account.
  • Misuse the reassessment feature, for example by repeatedly changing your profile to test the results.
  • Try to get into another person's account or the admin pages, or disrupt the system.

7. Account suspension

SafeAbroad administrators may suspend an account when there is clear evidence of a problem, such as:

  • the account holder is below the minimum age to work abroad;
  • the same person has more than one account;
  • the profile contains details that contradict each other; or
  • the reassessment feature is being misused.

A reason is recorded every time an account is suspended. A suspended account cannot sign in until it is reactivated.

8. Limits of our responsibility

SafeAbroad is provided as is. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on its recommendations, or for the actions of any employer or recruitment agency listed in it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use SafeAbroad means you accept the updated terms.
